SUN DESIGN

The stamp was issued as a supplementary and was originally supposed to be used as postage fordomestic postcards and local letters.

Design by Eduard Poland.

Paper: white, very thin (cigarette).

Gum: yellowish, uneven, often faulty.

Print: Typographed by Joh. & Alma Paalmann in Tallinn. Printer's sheet of 400, arranged in four panes of 100, separated by wide gutters. Counter panes of 100 or 200. The printing is often faulty with a number of minor printing errors present. The print is mostly transparent. The issue had several printings.

Perforation: Imperforate. Postmaster perforations are known.

Proofs: Enlarged positive black prints of the mother dye are known in two sizes. The black prints were used for sheet assembly.

Valid until June 30, 1926.
