| SUN DESIGN The stamp was issued as a supplementary and was originally supposed to be used as postage fordomestic postcards and local letters. Design by Eduard Poland. Paper: white, very thin (cigarette). Gum: yellowish, uneven, often faulty. Print: Typographed by Joh. & Alma Paalmann in Tallinn. Printer's sheet of 400, arranged in four panes of 100, separated by wide gutters. Counter panes of 100 or 200. The printing is often faulty with a number of minor printing errors present. The print is mostly transparent. The issue had several printings. Perforation: Imperforate. Postmaster perforations are known. Proofs: Enlarged positive black prints of the mother dye are known in two sizes. The black prints were used for sheet assembly. Forgeries are known. Read more about the Sun Design forgeries.
