TALLINN SKYLINE

A regular issue of six values in eight various colors.
Design by Ed Poland, redesigned by Karl Triumph. The design shows the panorama of Tallinn.

Paper: white, very thin (cigarette paper).

Gum: smooth and yellowish.

Print: Typographed by: GPW (25 and 35 p.), "Ohiselu" (50 p., 1:-, 2:- and 2.50), GPO (2.- ultramarine).
The printer's sheet consisted of 400 stamps, arranged in four panes of 100 each, separated by gutters. Each pane was enclosed in a rectangular frame in the color of the stamp (3-5 mm, distance from the group of stamps 3 1/2 -5 mm). Counter pane: horizontally shared printing sheet or a pane of 100 (25 yellow). The print is generally transparent and rather defective. Between the stamps there are regular color spots caused by the register pins. With the exception of the 25 p. yellow and 50 p. (one printing) and the 2 Mk. ultramarine (two printings) the issue had several printings.
The 35 p. value was recalled from sale at the end of 1920 and used for the overpinted issue. Of the total issue of the 25 p. yellow 1.500.000 remained at the GPO. These were ungurnmed.

Perforation: imperforate. Postmaster perforations are not uncommon.

Proofs: Essays and negative enlarged copies of the first assembly are known.

Valid until June 30, 1926. The 25 p. yellow until December 31, 1940.
